Like Riding A Bike

Today was one of the very best days of my life as both of my kids took a big step forward in learning how to ride their respective bikes. Timmy's been a little apprehensive (to say the least) about riding his bike sans training wheels. Yesterday, I took 'em off and said, "it's time bud." He was not even reluctant, we went to the sidewalk, I held onto the seat, gave him a quick push and off he went. 7 hours (and a new, relatively slick lookin' $30 Huffy bike from Wal Mart) later, he finally stopped riding. Meanwhile, Emilie has been more content to just ride her bike by "walking" and sitting on the bike seat. She started pedaling and didn't stop either. Then, she took the wheel in Timmy's Mini Jeep and followed her brother around the block - with daddy panting and sweating behind trying to keep up.
Crazy days. Wake up, they're 3.5 and almost 7, go to sleep and they're like 25 and 28... :)
